Head coach Tata Martino has confirmed that Lionel Messi is set to participate in Inter Miami's US Open Cup semifinal.

Inter Miami head coach Gerardo 'Tata' Martino confirmed to the press that Lionel Messi is slated to participate in the upcoming US Open Cup match against Cincinnati.  Following their recent victory in the Leagues Cup on Saturday, Inter Miami, with Messi in tow, is gearing up for the US Open semifinal clash against FC Cincinnati.  Martino acknowledged that while Messi has been in remarkable form since joining Miami, he will eventually need some rest due to the substantial minutes he's logged.  "We've always known that at some point, he'll need to take a break due to the extensive playing time," Martino stated ahead of Monday's practice.  "However, it's clear that Wednesday won't be that day. Unless he expresses a desire to rest, he'll continue to be in the lineup."
